Your Tarion New Home Warranty

Every County Homes build is enrolled with Tarion, Ontario’s new home warranty program. Your coverage starts the day you take possession:

  • 1-Year Warranty: workmanship and materials, and compliance with the Ontario Building Code.

  • 2-Year Warranty: water getting in through the basement, foundation or building envelope; electrical, plumbing and heating systems; and Building Code violations that affect health and safety.

  • 7-Year Warranty: major structural defects.

Tarion also protects your deposit and provides compensation if your closing is delayed. Learn more at tarion.com.

How Warranty Service Works

  1. Pre-Delivery Inspection: before you move in, we walk through your home together and note anything that needs attention.

  2. 30-Day Form: within your first 30 days, submit any outstanding items through Tarion.

  3. Year-End Form: in the last 30 days of your first year, submit any remaining items under the 1-year warranty.
